[ September 09 , 2008 ] Ella replies Fans : Recently, I contacted JADE's manager Mr Heiko Grupe, to clarify if SHE's newest album's primary track "Miss Universe" was actually a cover version. Heiko's subsequent replies have given us a very clear answer! 1. Is SHE's newest album's primary track "Miss Universe" a cover song? Yes. SHE during the premiere of this song said that "Miss Universe" was an electronic dance track specially written for them by Germany's SWEETBOX. This way of saying is a great error! This song was first released in the spring of 2007, it was released as a duet between JADE and Korea's Baek Ji Young (JADE sang the English lyrics, Baek Ji Young sang in Korean), and the song made it into Korea's MelOn Top 100 download chart. On 12 Oct that year, JADE released her debut album "Out of the Box", that particular song was recorded inside, sung entirely in English by JADE, titled CRUSH, there were also slight changes to the song's harmony. 2. Are there covers of JADE's other songs in SHE's newest album? Yes. According to JADE's manager Mr Heiko Grupe, three of the songs in SHE's newest album are collaborative works of JADE & GEO. Besides CRUSH, SHE also covered JADE's personal favourite song "Like A Bird", a pop song with both classical and contemporary melodies, the harmony is very moving. In addition, GEO also specially produced "This is my life" for SHE, this song currently doesn't have an English version. Because it is still under wraps, whether SHE's newest album will include these two songs, and what their final song titles would be, it is still a question mark. 3. I saw the news of those who have lost their homes and those trapped in the mountainous regions; and even those who have yet to find their lost family members. Each time I see their crying faces, I would feel the urge to cry too. And now, the typhoon has returned. It is really adding frost to snow, I hope, this time it won’t bring any further damages. Everybody, please be careful, be safe and sound, ok? This is really so worrying. Our album is going to launch soon. I’ve read many letters from fans, all from different parts of the world. There are a lot of sentiments in my heart. The “me” recently, am actually in need for FM S.H.E, because I need to receive a lot of happy vibes. Already 7 years. Firstly, am grateful to our company. Some colleagues, they are really the ones who have seen us grow and mature. They have accompanied us through many important phases of our life. And yet they must also take in and digest all the different emotions we experienced; despite they have to manage their own emotions too, they still have to keep their cool to stand by us during those times. Really grateful to all of you. Next, I have to thank each and every one of you for your support, because I really do not see myself as anyone great. But yet all of you have made me feel like I am someone useful. In my heart, all of you are really the great ones instead, to have given so much of your love to 3 ordinary persons in the past 7 years. Thank you. Next, I have to thank my “sisters” – Selina and Hebe. You are important to me because you’ve made me learnt about myself better. On 911, I trust Laopo’s reflections has touched many of those present. Never did I realise, our trio’s friendship can be like that of a movie storyline to move others to tears. It is very special. I must confess truthfully, my throat is hurting now, really, because I am holding back my tears. Maybe, it’s because my period’s coming and the hormones are creating havoc, so I am exceptionally emotional. Last but not least, I wish to thank my family, especially my 2nd sister, because she has given so much, so much to me. She has done so much for me to the extent that I pondered if she was greatly indebted to me in our previous lives that she needs to do so much for me now. Here, I want to say to my sister, “Jie, I love you. Thank you.” Also, there are my parents, my grandparents, my eldest sister and younger brother, thank you each and every one of you.
